This was a sketch that was developed into a painting. She was inspired from a photo I took while on our family travels.

I snapped this photo along with about 20,000 others during a hike through Kakadu National Park, to a popular waterfall along Barramundie Creek, Maguk Gorge.

It was magical. Every where I looked I could see a frame I wanted to paint.
The colours, the sounds, the way the place made me feel...
It truly was magical.

I was so lost in the magic of it all, I actually trailed behind my family, accidentally wondered off and literally got lost 😆

I hope I have conveyed just a little bit of the beauty and magic of this place.

The canvas is 51x51cm and set in a raw floating pine frame, with a finished size of 55x55cm.
